How Much I Spent on 18 Days in Bali 🌴✈️

Ever wondered how much a trip to Bali costs? I traveled solo for 7 days and then spent 11 days with friends—and it was one of the most magical, relaxing, and affordable destinations to explore! Let's break it down so you know what to expect:

Accommodation -  $637

For 18 nights in Bali, I spent just $637 on accommodation—7 nights solo and 11 with friends. My absolute favorite stay was Dreamsea Surf Resort, a dreamy spot with sweeping ocean views and the best menu in Uluwatu. Highly recommend it!

Coffee - $36

I love coffee and Bali has so many cute coffee shops to explore and plenty of options for different flavors and dairy free milks

Food - $361

Despite having a gluten allergy, I ate SO well in Bali. Many restaurants cater to

dietary needs, and you can order the most luxurious dishes—drinks, sides, and all—for under $20 USD. I rarely had to think twice about price when choosing what to order, which made every meal feel like a treat. Some of my favorite bites are featured below!

Massages - $57

I got spoiled with massages on this trip—probably over a dozen during my trip, most of them foot massages. You can enjoy 30 minutes of bliss for under $5! My top picks: The Bamboo Spa in Gili T and Inggrith Spa in Ubud. If you stay at Dreamsea, definitely book a full-body massage at the resort.

Spa day - $49

There are so many different experiences you can choose from in Bali for massages from flower petal baths to scrubs to massages. I booked a $49 1 hour 45 minute treatment at You Spa in Gili T and it was pure bliss!

Personal Shopping - $107

I treated myself to a few special souvenirs, including a beautiful matching jewelry set from Blink Fashion Jewelry. I always love having pieces that remind me of my trips.

Gifts for friends and family - $52

I brought home clothes, jewelry, and home decor for my  friends and family. My favorite place to shop was the community market at Alchemy Bali. Alchemy is a yoga and meditation center complete with a decadent plant-based restaurant and the most relaxing vibes!

Ferries - $197

We used BlueWater Express to hop between Bali, the Gili Islands, and Nusa Penida. The ferries were super convenient and a scenic way to travel.

Activities $312

Activities we chose in Bali included a fire show, beach clubs, boat tours, an ATV excursion, swimming with dolphins, & more!

Grabs/Taxis $123

Grab scooters could be as cheap as just a few dollars and taxis are a little bit more. I chose my ride based on what made the most sense when I was solo vs with my friends

Round trip flight from LAX $1905

The most expensive part of traveling to Indonesia is the flight. Once you arrive, everything else is so affordable!

Total $3861 (7 days solo, 11 days with friends)
